South Beach attorney joins after due diligence
Ralph Yammine made a list, checked it twice, wanted to find out whose software was
naughty or nice. The newest medical claims leader is coming . . . to town.
Ralph is an attorney, which means due diligence and a healthy dose of skepticism.
When the Miami Beach, Fla. lawyer wanted to expand his business interests, he quickly
became interested in electronic medical claims processing.
But Ralph wanted to ensure he was buying the best software because it would make
or break the business. He researched companies, looked at demos and asked a million
questions. No code went untested, no claim unchallenged. The first software company
failed the review within days. Ralph's brother Pasqual is a software developer so
anything less than superior wasn't going to cut it with the Yammines.
"You should have seen our checklist," Ralph said. "We researched the top software
and knew what we wanted. Most vendors didn't get back to us or flat out lied."
And then Ralph called ClaimTek Systems, a medical claims software leader founded
by president Kyle Farhat. The checklist started clicking. Endless questions were
answered. Soon, Yammine was processing claims for three clients through his new
company Claims-Med, Inc.
"We probably drove Kyle crazy," Ralph chuckled. "But their demo came quickly and
all of our questions were answered."
Life is good along South Beach where the beautiful people gather. Naked women seemingly
wear more clothes than many of the young ladies that crowd the cafes and nightclubs
hoping to be discovered as the next supermodels. The rich and famous dominate the
Miami seaside resort. It's a great place to live.
Ralph Yammine resides a few blocks from the water, living the dream many young entrepeneurs
can only fantastize. The 30-year-old attorney recently sold his telecom company
for enough to pay for a lifetime of the popular local stone crabs. He's starting
several other businesses in his bid to become Miami's latest mega-millionaire.
But Ralph admits he's not so much a salesman as an investor in great business ideas.
He likes things that sell themselves. Like electronic medical claims processing.
"We're providing a much needed solution," Ralph said. "We're not selling something
that's not needed. I never have to do a sales pitch because my product helps people.
We give them the information and they realize there's a need."
Ralph has some insight into the medical profession. His father is a Chicago doctor
who needed help collecting unresolved bills. Eureka -- Ralph discovered an untapped
business. Soon, three internists joined Claim-Med. It won't be long before Ralph
grows the business 10-fold.
"I like having a business with room to grow," he said. "Then there's other areas
to grow into like practice analysis where we go through the entire claims process
and show clients how they can improve their billing. It's not hard to do a good
job when you're dedicated to doing it right. That's why we stand out."
Meanwhile, there's still time to see the beautiful people at nearby hangouts.
And life is good.
